As Co-VID 19 continues to impact the country and the world, it has changed the way we live and our whole lives altogether. A group of the people affected the most have been students and more in a negative way. With the outbreak running rampant, universities and colleges are forced to close campuses and move classes online, operating remotely for the rest of the semester. Many students are being displaced and can't return home on their while others no longer have the opportunity to enjoy the rest of their academic experience. Students across the country, the globe, have been affected.

The majority of schools aren't returning until the next school year due to the increasing number of cases in their area. K-12 students now have to take on homeschooling with their parents. Many kids don't have access to laptops and the internet. With schools being closed, students don't have access to the cafeteria. There are students whose only meals every day are from school breakfast and lunch. We're thankful for the people who continuously donate and help them in the community.

High School seniors aren't able to tour campuses in the spring, have Prom, and their graduation ceremonies have been canceled. First-year College students had their first year of college ended abruptly and having to leave their dorm and find their way back home. International students have no means to return home in the middle of the semester. College seniors have their final year of college cut short. They won't be able to enjoy the last spring break, senior week, or even graduation. The four or five years they spent working towards this moment was taken away from them. They'll still get the diploma, but the moment of them walking across the stage was taken away from them.

This pandemic has changed all of our lives. We are all being affected by this. It doesn't care whether you're young or old, rich or poor, black or white. We are in tough times, and we are all in this together. So be considerate of students because their normal has been turned upside down.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
