Life starts to become a more and more difficult path to continue on as you grow up. Not everything goes the way you want it to, things aren't as simple or easy, and understanding different circumstances gets harder since there are so many outside variables, causing utter confusion in the grand scheme of things. However, everyone needs to understand that mental strength and being able to deal with these types of situations is a part of growing up.
Things may not work out in your favor, so expectations aren't met or negatively sinks in. Really, it is truly difficult to deal with things that may not go your way. Not getting the promotion that you worked hard for, the below 5% chance that something bad will happen in a certain situation, or even completely reading a situation wrong and being hurt in the process are all parts of things that can really affect mental health, bringing forth discouragement from trying again.
Mentality and Situations
These types of situations happen to everyone, may it be small or large. Yet, it is expected to make mistakes along the way in life since we are all still human. When you’re dealing with other people, you can’t forget that you are still dealing with other people, and these people have feelings as well. There is no reason to be mad that something didn’t go the way that you wanted or something of that nature.
Simply working around the situation and making the situation relevant in life takes the edge off a bit. Use the decision that discouraged you or hurt you as fuel to learn what went wrong and what could have been done better in that situation.
Simply put, situations that put you down or situations that may have hurt you are ones that you can have a different mindset for. Regardless of the fact that a situation may be affected by outside forces or others actions, and you may have believed that the actions you took were correct. Yet, the result ended up being poor, so there is still a need to accept what happened and take the variables that were in play into account for the next time that a certain situation occurs.
Learn to smile more often
Mentality is simply a mindset that is created within the realms of an individual’s ability to think. You can think negatively or positively based on past events or the base set of your characteristics. The path should always be a positive outcome. You can think negatively at first and cope with a situation that way.
Nevertheless, we can never forget that we are human deep down and our goals and aspirations in life are forged by the individual based off their experiences and influences in life. Simply put, anger and sadness are a normal part of our lives and it is absolutely normal to experience such emotions when coping with a situation. It allows an individual’s mind to clear up and to ultimately move forward for the better.
Regardless of all the negative situations that can happen in one’s life, it is best to know that there will always be a light at the end of the tunnel. One simply needs to keep on going in life and to remember that the end result will always be good even if there are multitudes of negative situations occurring in one’s life. Surviving negativity in life makes an individual stronger mentally, and is better for everyone in the end.
