One thing a lot of people don't really know about me is that I love reading about conspiracy theories.

"Conspiracy Theory - theideathatmanyimportantpoliticaleventsoreconomicandsocialtrendsaretheproductsofsecretplotsthatarelargelyunknownto thegeneralpublic."

Celebrity theories, political theories, the Illuminati, aliens, clones, robots, I love to read about all of them. So, thanks to some writer's block, I thought this week for my article I would take some time to educate the public, well the public who doesn't look up conspiracy theories like myself, on some of my favorites! Well... that was a bad way to put it; conspiracy theories are weird so they're not my "favorite" but some of the most interesting ones!

1. Khloe Kardashian's is actually O.J. Simpson's daughter

This one can get a little confusing, so I hope you can follow along. So as we know, Khloe Kardashian is sister of Kim, Rob and Kourtney, half sister to Kendall and Kylie, and daughter to Kris Jenner and Robert Kardashian... or is she? So the theory starts all with Robert's wives. After Kris and Robert got divorced, he went onto marry two more times to two women named Jan Ashley and Ellen Pierson before he died. Both the women said that Robert told them that Khloe was not his biological daughter.

Kris has admitted to having one affair during her marriage to Robert right around the same time that Khloe was conceived... hmm, did she have an affair with Robert's, arguably, most famous client - O.J. Simpson? Apparently, when O.J. was told about Khloe possibly being his daughter he "just giggles." Khloe resembles O.J.'s daughter, Sydney (pictured above) way closer than she does to Kim or Kourtney. While O.J. says he will submit DNA for a paternity test, Khloe has refused to... I guess the truth will never be known. But honestly, if I was Khloe, I wouldn't want to have my whole life turned upside down at 32 years old either.

2. Tom Cruise auditions his wives

In my opinion, Tom Cruise is seriously the creepiest guy in Hollywood and this only proves my point further. According to this conspiracy theory, which I totally believe, there was a book that revealed that actresses such as Scarlett Johansson, Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Alba and others auditioned to be his wife - he later settled on Katie Holmes (but that marriage didn't go so well - yikes).

3. Disney had Miley Cyrus killed and the Miley Cyrus we see now is actually a clone

Back when Miley was just known as the "sweet Disney girl from Hannah Montana" we all loved her. Then, when she started taking dirty selfies, smoking, and basically going against everything Disney, the company realized there was only one way to solve their Miley Cyrus problem... murder. Another theory is that a bunch of executives at Disney wanted to try and do things with Miley and when she refused they beat her up, left her for dead, and replaced her with a clone. Creepy...

4. Blue Ivy was named after the Illuminati

Honestly, I don't believe this one... but the jury's still out on if I believe Beyoncé is in the Illuminati or not. But, if you wanted to hear it, this is apparently what Blue Ivy's name means: "Born Living Under Evil Illuminati's Very Youngest."

5. Bush did 9/11

You knew we were going to have to talk about this. "Bush did 9/11" has turned into a huge internet joke every since the conspiracy theory came out - so let's break it down. As we know, when the planes hit the Twin Towers, Bush was reading a story to children. After he was told what was happening, Bush continued reading acting like nothing was happening. A lot of people applaud him for this, had he gotten up he would have concerned the children... but is that what he was really doing. A conspiracy theory claims that Bush didn't stop reading because he knew, himself, that he and his staff were not in danger - cause he planned the whole thing. Apparently bin Laden was on the CIA payroll and had a meeting with French leaders 72 days before 9/11 happened. The theory doesn't give any reason why Bush would have wanted to cause 9/11. So, do I really believe it? No. Is it still interesting and funny to read? Yeah.

6. Michael Jackson is alive

I really want this one to be true because I miss Michael and I want to see an MJ concert so bad. There is an entire website dedicated to supposed MJ "sightings." There's an apparent report that Michael is living in Canada (in a house with JFK, Tupac, and Whitney Houston right?). The majority of the pictures on the website you can tell are definitely not Michael so it appears this one is totally false... much to my own dismay.

7. Robert F. Kennedy killed Marilyn Monroe

Allegedly, Marilyn Monroe had an affair with both of the Kennedy brothers: John and Robert. After Robert told Marilyn that he would not marry her, it caused a fight and Marilyn threatened to release to the world about her affairs with him and John. Robert couldn't have that and allegedly killed her.

8. Avril Lavigne is dead

And apparently has been replaced by a clone. Allegedly, Avril committed suicide in the early 2000's due to stress from her career and the recent loss of her grandfather just becoming too much for her. At the time, Avril's career was booming and her record company didn't want to lose profit - so they created a clone to continue her legacy. Fans claim to notice the clone because birthmarks have moved and her personality seemed to change overnight... I don't know if I believe this one but it's seriously creepy.

9. Katy Perry is actually the grown up JonBenét Ramsey

No that picture on the left is not a young Katy Perry, that picture is actually murdered beauty queen JonBenét Ramsey... or was she really murdered? The theory goes that the reason the cops never found JonBenét's killer is because there was no killer. Apparently they faked their death so the family could gain fame then kept JonBenét hidden until she could rise to fame as "Katy Perry."

10. Queen Elizabeth is the leader of the Illuminati

Thanks to an apparent "clone" named Donald Marshall, we have this conspiracy theory. Marshall, who claims he is an actual clone raised in the Illuminati (a mixture of the cults "Scientologists" "Free Masons" and "The Vrill Society") and claims that the royal family is some of the most perverted and worst people to interact with. Marshall claims that the Queen likes to cut clone children with swords for entertainment. I don't know if I can see little old Queen Elizabeth doing that, but you can ride Marshall's full letter here.

Celebrities are weird and so are their conspiracy theories. No harm or disrespect was intended for the people/events involved in all of these theories.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
