I feel as though confidence is truly key. Being confident with yourself, only leads to positive effects on your life. You communicate better with others. You are more eager to ask questions in class. You are more likely to ace that job interview. Think about it this way, when you first began to ride your bike, you have to picture yourself being able to ride it first.
The first goes for many things in life. When you public speak, you have to picture yourself nailing it first before you do it. If you picture yourself messing up, you are bound for failure. When you go on a date, you have to assume that it will go well. If not, the guy will think you are weird. Plus, men love confidence just how women love confidence in a man. I am by all means not telling you to be cocky, though. There is a huge difference between confidence and cockiness.
Confidence impacts your life with positives while cockiness impacts your life with negatives. Along with this advice, I want to encourage you to take chances. Do not live your life with "what ifs." Get out of your comfort zone and try things you never imagined trying.
Life is short and there is no time to play it safe. Get out of your shy, insecure shell, and break free. Face life with confidence and a smile from ear to ear. Don't be afraid of failure. Even the best fail sometimes. Fear is a bump in the road to happiness and success.
Take a leap of faith, always. It is better to live a life with a couple regrets than always wondering. As people say, you live and you learn. Besides, don't you want to have amazing stories to tell your children and grandchildren one day? I sure do!
Now if you're already a person with confidence, then keep doing what you're doing and if you are more on the insecure shy side, take a chance for once. I promise you, you will be happily surprised.
