We should all learn from Amy.

Amy Schumer: A hilarious comedian who is known for her HBO series Inside Amy Schumer and her movie Train Wreck. If you have ever watched any of Amy's comedy scripts, I guaranteed you have laughed at least once. I myself laugh at Amy's comedy all the time. She is a genius comedian, but she is also a confident, strong, and smart woman.

Amy speaks about anything and does not hold back because of fear of what people may think of her. She has the ultimate confidence. Amy says her confidence comes from how she was raised as a young girl.

"I was brought into this world thinking I was gorgeous because my mother was extremely devoted to this notion. I remember being 8 years old, and she would say to me, 'Look at you. You're an angel. You sparkle," she said in a Cosmo article

At the Gloria and Gala awards in 2014, Amy gave an amazing speech about finding herself and her confidence. One of my personal favorite part of her speech was when she said, "I am a great friend and an even better sister. I have fought my way through harsh criticism and death threats for speaking my mind. I am alive, like the strong women in this room before me. I am a hot-blooded fighter and I am fearless."

Everyone wants confidence in themselves, but not a lot of people have the skills to obtain and hold self-confidence. That means jealousy then starts to prevail.

Huffington Post asked Amy about why people need to insult others (specifically women).

"People get mad at confidence and they wanna knock it down. And you need to know that's gonna happen and just hold onto it. I have moments all the time when I don't feel good about myself and I don't feel comfortable in my own skin, but I always find my way back," she said.

It is so easy to say that everyone should have the same confidence level as Amy, but even Amy admits to having off-moments when her self-confidence isn't always there.

Amy even offers advice to when the self-confidence is not always there. She recently partnered up with Goodwill of Southern California to help girls and women achieve confidence through fashion. The message trying to be reached is that if you feel confident, you can be confident.

An interview with the Today Show, Amy said how she would feel confident but when she would try on certain clothes, all that confidence would be lost. She even mentioned how her clothing stylist from "Trainwreck", Leesa Evans, had helped Amy's younger sister on clothing advice. Amy described seeing her sister "wearing a little blazer and a shirt and looking just like a strong, beautiful woman... and to see the person I care most about being given those tools was really moving to me and I just wanted to give it to every woman." What an awesome way to help others.

We should all take a message from Amy and be beautiful and confident people. Being yourself and confident is an awesome quality to have and show off.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
