Confessions Of A Taurus

Every morning I go through a ritual, which includes coffee (of course) and reading my horoscope for the day. Since I found out what my astrological sign was, I have been reading it religiously. I wouldn’t call myself an expert astrologist or anything, but I find pleasure in seeing if the stars got my day right.

My sign is Taurus, and I could not be a more typical one. I am totally and completely the textbook definition of a Taurus. Not only am I as stubborn as a bull, but combined with being Italian, makes me one passionate and aggressive person. Being a Taurus comes with great responsibility. We are some of the most independent and strong-willed people, you will ever meet. We have a number of good and bad qualities, but hey you love us anyway. Here are a few true confessions of a Taurus.

Loyalty
When it comes to friendship we basically latch onto our friends and never let go. We tend to treat our friends like family and get very protective of them. If one of my friends gets hurt, I’m hurt as well. We are very dependable to the people we love. When you befriend a Taurus you can count on us to take care of you.

Generosity
As a Taurus we have the tendency to be givers. We love to pick out thoughtful gifts for the people we care about. Although I am slightly materialistic (one of Taurus’ flaws), I love when people open my gifts and grow a huge smile on their face. I also find myself letting people borrow my things especially when it comes to my clothes. If someone doesn’t have the proper nightlife attire for the evening, you can count on my closet to get the job done.

Stubborn
This trait is the epitome of a Taurus. I have a slight issue with liking to do everything myself. On the rare occasion that I do let someone help me, I usually end up hating it. When in group projects, I usually take over the most work because I have a hard time trusting that it will get done. I also don’t like it when I do something one way and another person wants it done any other way. Criticism is not my forte. In my Taurus mind, it's either my way or the highway.

Laziness
We all have a bit of laziness, but Taurus has it the worse. If I don’t want to do something I give myself a three-day window and tell myself I will do a little each day. Well, that rarely happens, and I end up doing it all on the last day. We are masters in the art of procrastination. Thankfully our persistent drive allows us to get things done, so there is some hope for us.

Although my stubbornness and aggressive attitude may get the best of me sometimes (e.g., waffle ball and fuzzball). That is what makes me the strong person I am. The morals and values that I have will never be broken because of my strong will. I am overall a very patient and down-to-earth person. In order to make this Taurus tick, basically make me laugh, feed me well (chickpeas), and we'll get along great!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
