Seriously though, I really am. I can thank college for my coffee addiction I guess. Going into college I liked coffee but now I think it's more like I need coffee. It's OK though I've come to terms with it, and really don't see myself doing anything about it. I wouldn't make it through my early morning classes, late night study sessions, or finals week without coffee so I honestly owe my life to it. These are real-life confessions of a coffeeholic.

Making coffee is a top morning priority

The trick is to set up your Keurig or coffee pot the night before so that all you need to do in the morning is turn it on. This way by the time you're done getting ready, your coffee will be perfect and ready to drink. This also makes the about you have to wait for your coffee shorter and/or go by so much faster.

One cup of coffee just is not enough

I don't even feel the effects of one cup of coffee anymore. I'll still be continuously yawning. Maybe I need to wait a little bit for it to kick in? Eh no, I'll just get another cup with an extra shot.

The about of espresso shots I add is borderline ridiculous

Speaking of shots. Initially, I would just get an extra shot added when I needed to stay up and study or on my way to an early class, but now it's a regular thing. I am so used to adding shots into my coffee I got an iced chai with a shot in it; it was gross 0/10 do not recommend. I will just stick to my coffee.

Coffee can cure even the worst of days

It makes the bad days good and the good days even better! There is literally not a single scenario that can not be made better with a cup of coffee.

Without the caffeine I seriously get withdrawal symptoms

Headaches and fatigue, is this what actual addicts feel like? No advil or medicine will cure it, only a nice cup of coffee.

I spend more money on coffee than probably anything else

A coffee addiction is expensive, ok. Just one drink at Starbucks is on average $5. Think about if you go twice a day, that's $10 a day. Then five times a week?! That's $50 a week! Spending this much money is not what I signed up for.

If it's coffee flavored, send it my way

Coffee ice cream, chocolate covered espresso beans, hot coffee, iced coffee, cold coffee, coffee milkshake. Any coffee flavored item you can imagine I will eat or drink it.

I drink more coffee than water

Which is honestly dangerously the worst part about my coffee addiction. It's dehydrating! I wish water had the same effects as coffee, wow wouldn't that be great.

I don't understand how people function in the morning without coffee

And I don't think I ever will. I've never been a morning person, and even with coffee, I'm not. It just makes those tough mornings feel less excruciatingly terrible.

There is nothing worse than a bad cup of coffee

When you have been looking forward to a nice good cup of coffee and are served one that tastes like dirt, there is nothing more disappointing. Not only are your taste buds feeling all sorts of wack, but you also have to wait for a whole new cup of coffee now.

What may have sprouted as an unwanted obsession, has turned into a growing pleasure. Through both thick and thin, I know coffee will be there for me. There are many others like me too, coffee-holics, and it really is not a bad thing.

Hi my name is Arianna, I'm addicted to coffee and it's great! I can't imagine my life being any other way.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register.
