1. "Are you identical or fraternal?"

If you are a twin you can definitely relate to this one because I'm 99.9% positive that it comes up almost immediately after people find out you have a twin.

2. "Are you guys like best friends?"

We argue just like any other siblings do. Sometimes we are best friends; sometimes we absolutely cannot stand each other.

3. "Man, I wish I had a twin that would be so fun!"

Yeah... A lot of people have this opinion, but I will let you know that having a twin is both a blessing and a curse because. They know everything. You are seeing a new boy and do not want your parents to know? Too bad, cause your twin already told them.

4. "Did you end up going to the same college?"

I get this question all the time and truly I don't know why; after spending nearly 18 years together I was definitely in need of a slight distancing from my womb buddy.

5. "Isn't it great that you can share clothes?"

Ummm... it's great if your twin is willing to share them... but when they do, it's perfect cause you basically have two closets to choose from!

6. "Do you have the same friends?"

We are different people, so most twins can probably say, they have a few of the same friends and a few different ones. It all depends, but we usually have the same enemies cause twins have to stick together of course.

7. "Is it hard being away from your twin?"

SO. INCREDIBLY. HARD. But Facetime and texting will do while we are apart.

8. "Do you guys have twin telepathy?"

No...I don't know why people assume this is a thing.

9. "Can you feel each other's pain?"

Still, no.

10. "Do you ever dress alike?"

When we were toddlers and forced into matching clothes by my mother who thought it was absolutely adorable; but now, if I were to come downstairs in something even slightly similar to my sister... one of us must change.

11. "Do you do everything together?"

We aren't conjoined, so no we don't. We do have our own lives.

12. "Do you mind sharing a birthday?"

Having a twin means double the cake and double the party guests! So its a win-win, and the funniest thing is there is always at least one person that will ask both of you when your birthday is and then feel defeated when they realize it is the same.

13. "Do you like having a twin?"

I absolutely love having a twin. It has its ups and downs, but anyone who is lucky enough to be blessed with another human to their exact age to go through life with should cherish it greatly.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
