Oh, the library - can't live with it, can't live without it. Whether you'd like to admit it or not, you're probably more productive in the library and should be there more often. Given that I spend more time in the library than I do in my apartment, I've seen it all. Do your classmates a favor and keep these commandments in mind the next time you're in your favorite spot on campus.
1) Thou shalt not take a study room all to yourself
Does 'two or more people' mean nothing to you?!
2) Thou shalt not talk loudly on the phone
I know it's not the quiet floor… but it's not the loud floor either.
3) Thou shalt not take a table just to watch Netflix
Why would you be in the library when you could be in your bed?
4) Thou shalt not forget to log out of the public computers
Because I've definitely deleted someone's emails thinking they were my own...
5) Thou shalt not act like you own the place… when you're only there for finals week
You're the kind of person that only goes to church on Easter, aren't you?
6) Thou shalt not think that study rooms are sound proof
On the bright side, I'll be prepared for that Art History course you're studying for if I ever have to take it.
8) Thou shalt not play audio without headphones
I'm glad you enjoy listening to One Direction on repeat, but I sure don't.
8) Thou shalt not take your shoes off
Why. Just why.
9) Thou shalt not talk too loudly about your personal life
I'm sorry you had a tough day, I'm having a tough time studying right now.
10) Thou shalt not eat noisy or smelly food
We have a cafeteria for a reason.
11) Thou shalt not leave trash on the table
Not only is it gross and rude, it's also confusing - is someone coming back to this table? Can I sit here?
