Of course, there is a lot of bad going on in the world. From the injustices of the police to Donald Trump running for president I am personally drained from it all. As a light laughter for my readers, I decide this week to do a cute post on things we all love to hear as an college students. I'm sure at any level in your college career, you will or have appreciated these words and phrases.

The Test has been extended to next week

Don't act like yall was prepared. Test dates sneak up on you in college like no other. You literally can have a week to study and then all of a sudden the test is in two hours. I personally have walked in on test days and honestly did not know there was a test. Let's not forget test count for so much of your grade in college for no reason. I think we can all agree more time to study is always valued.

FREE

It doesn't matter if it's free water as a college the word FREE is life. Let the word free be followed by food or clothing, All crazy will break lose. I personally have only attended events because the world free was involved. Don't judge me kids, we have all done it.

Class Has been Canceled

That beautiful email you receive right when you wake up for class. There is no better feeling then rolled over to that canceled class email and being able to roll back over. Now the word cancel isn't always great especially when it's late. I do recall a couple of times being in route to class and then receiving that email and being mad I woke up this morning. But at the end of the day, a canceled class is always a slight happiness.

I am extending the assignment until next....

I truly believe some professors know the assignment cannot be completed in the allotted time. I don't know why they try to play us. I have had professors assign an assignment that was for 1 week and extend it for 2 more because it was so much. You do this every semester sir, you knew better. I do however appreciate it because sometimes I completely forget something is due...oops! Extra time is always great but don't waste it.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
