Being a student at The Ohio State University for undergraduate and now graduate school has been a real trip. But, being able to enjoy the city of Columbus for the past five years has been even better. Over the past decade, Columbus has become a unimaginable city of food, festivals and fun! Home to many new trendy restaurants and bars, Columbus has also become a great candidate for nightlife.
With a variety of festivals underway, Columbus knows how to kick off every school year with food and fun. Here are some great festivals that you will see this upcoming summer/fall!
Ohio State Fair, July 27-Aug. 6, Ohio Expo Center
Come out to the OSU fair for some fried pickles, ferris wheels, and farm animals!
Columbus Food Truck Festival,Columbus Commons Aug 18-19
Ranging from hot wings to cupcakes, the food truck festival is the best way to find out what your favorite restaurants will be this year!
Columbus Oktoberfest | Sept. 22-24, Ohio Expo Center
Besides holding a multitude of festivals each year, Columbus is also home to fashion week! Be sure to attend this year's Columbus Fashion Week and witness the tremendous talent from October 8-14th.
This halloween, Columbus' annual HighBall Halloween party will commence in the Short North Arts District. Come dressed in your best costume couture and immerse yourself in the local fashion scene that will take place Oct. 20-21.
Apart from the fabulous festivals, Columbus has an array of trendy restaurants downtown and in the Short North Arts District that will keep you from ever wanting to leave. Here's a few of my favorite!
Bakersfield - their queso and guacamole alone will make this your new go-to place.
Condados - Can we say Taco Tuesday again?
From guac to make-your-own-tacos, Condados has definitely become my go-to place.
Northstar Cafe
If you're looking for a great breakfast/lunch/dinner spot, Northstar is THE place. Might as well eat here for all three meals. It would only make sense to.
