For college students on the East Coast, it is getting harder to go to classes with the freezing cold air slapping you in the face. Winter is unbearable for just about anyone who prefers having a normal body temperature, but for college students, it's even worse. We walk anywhere and everywhere to get to where we need to go, while snow days are completely nonexistent.
As the days go on, and the weather gets colder, college students are finding ways to overcome the cold, keep warm, and still have a good time.
A College Student's Survival Guide to Winter:
1. Netflix and chill.
Cuddle up and watch movies on the days it's super cold! Nothing beats watching a good movie with a cup of hot chocolate on the days you have free time!
2. Layer it up.
The more clothes the better! Layering is the perfect way to keep warm and look cute while doing it!
3. Take Short Cuts Through Buildings.
Limit your time walking in the cold by taking short cuts through different buildings!
4. Own A Pair Of Snow-Boots.
Don't walk through the snow with nice shoes! Invest in snow boots to keep your toes warm and your expensive shoes like new.
5. Check The Weather.
Being prepared for the weather is crucial! Especially for those who commute and can't change their outfit if it magically starts raining midday.
6. Wake Up Earlier.
Now that it's colder, waking up for those early morning classes will be even harder when it's freezing. Try to wake up a little earlier, make hot chocolate or coffee to warm you up and prepare you to take on the cold brittle day.
7. Sleep With Warm Blankets.

There's nothing better than snuggling up in warm blankets, especially when it's freezing! Dorm rooms do not have the best heat, so try to stay warm with good blankets.
8. Buy a 'Party Coat'

When going out, you do not want to risk losing your brand-new Michael Kors jacket. Invest in a cheaper option you won't be to worried about losing or getting dirty.
9. Grocery Store Run.
As it gets colder and colder, you won't want to walk through snow to get to the dining hall. Stock up on some food you can keep in your dorm room!
10. Have tissues on hand.
Your nose will be runny! Keep tissues on you at all times to avoid the embarrassing runny nose.
Even though I’m all about having an excuse to spend more money on Starbucks, winter can be a brutal time. Stay prepared to take on these colder days!
