8 Things People with 8 A.M.'s can Relate to

The one thing college students dread the most.

16
8 Things People with 8 A.M.'s can Relate to

1. Going to your 8 A.M. then coming back and taking a nap

it's like a natural reaction to go to your 8 A.M. class, walk back to your room, hop back in bed and go to sleep until your next class as if the 8 A.M. never happened.

2. Dreading the 8 A.M.'s days before they even happen

It's Saturday night, you're out having fun with friends, then it hits you.. you have an 8 A.M. on Tuesday and should probably start mentally preparing for it now.

3. You 100% rely on the first cup of coffee in the morning

The first thing you do when you wakeup; fire up the Keurig and make your coffee which gets you through the class for the most part.

4. Walking to the class is similar to walking through Antarctica

It's not pleasant walking to your 8 A.M. class all the way across campus because it is drastically colder in the mornings than it is the rest of the day.

5. The debate on if the class is even worth attending

Do you really need to attend this class this early? Is it really worth it? Should I just skip it and continue sleeping? Questions all people with 8 A.M.'s know too well

6. Trying to stay awake in class

You sit there trying to listen to your professor and at the same time, trying to not fall asleep.

7. Not being a morning person

It's all fun and games when your alarm clock goes off for your 8 A.M. class until someone tries to talk to you. Nope, 8 A.M.'s are strictly silent.. try again at noon.

8. Hopefully, freshman year is your only 8 A.M. experience

Colleges usually limit 8 A.M.'s to freshman students so hopefully you only get 1 year to go through 8 A.M.'s

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
