For college students all across the country, parent’s weekends are happening! For some people, they are really looking forward to seeing their family. For others, it will be not so exciting, because their parents will see what they’ve really been doing at college. Regardless of where you go to school, you’ve probably asked your parents to bring a few things to you when they visit.
1. Your pets
One of the hardest parts of being away at college is not getting to see your pets. Even if it was a joke, you’ve got to admit, you probably asked your parents at least once to bring your pet(s) to parent’s weekend.
2. All of the home cooked food you could ever ask for
You’ve been eating at the dining hall and the student union for the past 2 months, so you’re probably craving whatever it is that your parent cooks that you love. Even if it’s just some cookies or brownies… at least they won’t be from the dining hall!
3. Random things you left at home, then realized you need
Whether it was a decoration, a health insurance card, or your pet dog, you want your parents to bring it to you.
4. Winter clothes... or just clothes in general
If you go to school in the south, you definitely won’t be needing winter clothes until at least after Thanksgiving, but hey, you probably miss that one sweater you left in your closet at home, right?
5. The entire store of Target
If your college town doesn’t have a Target, or any town surrounding it doesn’t have a Target (I’m talking about you Oxford, MS), then you’re probably at a major loss. You miss Target and want your mom or dad to bring you all of the random things that have been absent in your life that come from Target.
