Finding a major in college is hard, and sticking with a major is even harder. But what if we could major in something that we already know we're good at? Something that we wouldn't mind doing every day, and definitely wouldn't mind getting a check for.
Here are some examples of majors that don't exist, but should.
1. Eating
We eat food during class anyway, why shouldn't we get credit for it? Also, think about the minors! You could major in eating with a minor in burgers, tacos, spaghetti, ramen, Taco Bell, Chipotle... the options are limitless.
2. Facebook Stalking
We all do it. With Facebook Stalking as a major, you wouldn't have to employ your best friends to help you figure out who the new girl is in your crush's Instagram, all you would have to do is come to class and ask your professor. You could minor from anything to exes to random people you've only met once.
3. Netflix
This major would not require you to actually go to class, the attendance points would come from the professor checking your account to see what episode you're on. There might even be an online forum where all students with a major in Netflix could talk about their favorite character or why they're upset over the death of said character. Then again this is a made up major so the forum is optional. Minors include Grey's Anatomy, Gossip Girl and Friends.
4. Sleeping
10/10 would recommend this major to a friend. No alarm clocks, no professors and no tests. There are no materials required for this course; you could sleep wherever, whenever you want and still receive credit. However, the syllabus recommends a bed, specifically one with an extremely comfortable mattress pad.
5. Adventuring
This major is exactly what it sounds like. All you have to do is show up, and the professor will take you on an adventure. As you take more classes, the more epic the adventures will get. Majors in adventuring could include a focus in ocean adventuring, forest adventuring or around your dorm/apartment complex adventuring. Completely up to you.
