Elle Woods changed my life growing up, she instantly became one of my role models, a face for justice. As a child, she inspired me to become apart of the social science community of Journalism and of Law. But, I must not forget style. Most importantly, Elle taught me that I could do anything even if i am doubted by my own peers.

There is only one way to start and end the day: listening to catchy songs that make you feel special, like “Perfect day” by Hoku.

You get excited at the slightest opportunity so when things don’t go as planned academically or socially you can’t help but lose your cool in public.

You have an emotional breakdown after your test because half of what you studied for wasn’t even on it?

Introducing yourself for the first time always goes better than you think.

Sometimes you need to escape campus life because, you start needing a sense of reality to remind you why you are at school to begin with.

When you are forced to participate in a group project, so you try to find people you don’t know. It is not like grade school where the teacher will pair you up. You will have to deal with difficult personalities and not let it affect your success. Even in the most prestiges of schools you will find that people are the same and that you are in charge of where you go with the right attitude leading the way.

You’re constantly trying new things and it sucks when things don’t happen how you pictured them to. Sometimes you have to take a step back and realize it is for the best after all. Next week an opportunity will interrupt your life and you will forget your original plan.

Believe it or not everyone is at college for a reason so don’t make your experience any less valuable because someone doubts your intelligence. In a couple of years everyone who attends college will graduate with some kind of debt and a different major so don't let the narrow mindsets of others change your perspective. People will always try and find weakness.

You realize that you’ve grown so much by the second half on your freshman year that you are becoming more capable of handling the most difficult of people and situations. Minimizing your role in drama surrounding those who didn't bother to make you important is just the beginning of becoming a good role model.

In order to stand out, you have to be yourself no matter what others think. Don’t let the judgments of others change your personality. If wearing bright colors in a dull colored room offends anyone they are seriously disturbed.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
