College is one of the best four years of your life. Through this wonderful journey your going to find time to study, eat, workout, socialize and find time to sleep. But somehow we end up meeting our life time friends and making a lot of memories that you will cherish for the rest of your life. Here is how college life is explained by Zach Galifianakis.
1. Cramming an hour before a test.
There are some nights when you have so many assignments for other classes that you have to get done that you sometimes don't have the time to study or you just forgot that you have a test the next day. So the next morning you decide to take out your notes or study guide and cram in as much information into your brain as you can.
2. When you take the test and pray that you pass.
After you take that test you just crammed in and you pray that you at least got a C or a passing grade.
3. When you pass the test.
Passing a test you thought you would fail always breaks you into a celebration dance.
4. When you see delicious food in the cafeteria.
We all get excited when we see really good food in the cafeteria because it can be bad but we really get excited when we see a batch of fresh baked chocolate chip cookies.
5. When your crush finally realizes you exist.
It's always exciting when the person you have had your eyes on awhile takes notice in you and you smirk every time you see them around campus.
6. When you don't have the same feelings anymore.
You are going to meet new people and date in college and it's a total bummer when you get to know them and you realize their personality is dull as dishwater. That is part of life you are going to meet people that you don't like or who you don't clash well with and that's OK.
7. When a person in class doesn't know when to be quiet.
There is always that one student who always raises their hand and has something to say all the time. But when they constantly talk to the point where the professor can't continue their lecture it gets pretty annoying and you just want to tell them to shut up.
8. Students asking irrelevant questions.
And then you have the students who ask professors a question that has nothing to do with the topic whatsoever, or they just felt like asking a dumb question.
9. When you arrive at a party.
Yes, college involves partying and you are going to see a lot of people who go overboard and enjoy drinking a lot. But always make sure that you are out with a good group of friends and that you make smart choices when you do go out to party.
10. When your group picture with your friends comes out terrible.
Taking a group photo with your friends can probably be the most frustrating thing ever because one person thinks they look good but the rest just disagree and then you end up taking 100 more photos until the perfect one comes out.
11. When therapy dogs come to campus during finals week.
This is probably the greatest thing your campus has to offer you during finals week. Like, who doesn't like to play with dogs to relieve stress?
12. Sometimes you just need a hug.
College is going to be stressful because you're juggling a lot of things at once and it can be stressful to the point where you just need to hug someone and hope that they tell you everything will be OK.
13. When a family member asks if you lost weight.
Trust me, you will eat a lot of junk food in college especially when you are stressed out or after a night out. Sometimes people gain the "Freshman 15" and sometimes you don't because of something called a high metabolism. And when you come home and see family members you haven't seen in awhile and they are surprised by how great you look.
Overall, college is a great experience and it helps you transition into the real world. Yes, you are going to make mistakes and do things you regret through this journey but you always learn from your mistakes and become a better person. But you will have the time of your life, meet new people and make memories you will never forget. Even though college does come with a lot of work, you will enjoy every moment of it. As for me, it's hard to believe I am finishing my sophomore year because it feels just like yesterday was the first day I moved into my freshman dorm. And that's another thing college goes by fast so enjoy it and live it up while it last.
