To all of my fellow Potterheads who have the college blues, I hope this lifts your spirits.

P.S. Don't let the muggles get you down!

When Ron gets his tuition bill for the semester:

“I hate being poor.” ― J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Ron’s first day of classes:

“Accio Brain!” ― J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

The time Ron was tortured with an essay test:

“It's a damn sight harder making stuff up when you're under more stress than you'd think.” ― J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

When Ron's advisor asks what his plan is:

"Believe me, professor, I've been asking myself the exact same thing for the past six years.” ― J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

When Ron takes a foreign language class:

“I'll fix it up with Mum and Dad, then I'll call you. I know how to use a fellytone now—“ ― J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

When Ron calls home to brag about getting an A:

“Always the tone of surprise.” ― J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

When Ron has to go to tutoring:

“Extra lessons with Snape?" said Ron, sounding aghast. "I'd rather have the nightmares!” ― J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

The Time Ron Acted like a Frat Boy:

“Can I have a look at Uranus too, Lavender?” ― J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

When Ron loses motivation for philanthropy:

“I feel like a house-elf," grumbled Ron [general cleaning of Black's house]

"Well, now that you understand what dreadful lives they lead, perhaps you'll be a bit more active in S.P.E.W!"

...

"You know, maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to show people exactly how horrible it is to clean all the time -- we could do a sponsored scrub of Gryffindor common room, all proceeds to S.P.E.W, it would raise awareness as well as funds --"

"I'll sponsor you to shut up about spew," Ron muttered irritably.”

― J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Ron invites his high school friend to visit:

“We're coming for you whether the Muggles like it or not, you can't miss the World Cup, only Mum and Dad reckon it's better if we pretend to ask their permission first. If they say yes, send Pig back with your answer pronto, and we'll come and get you at five o'clock on Sunday. If they say no, send Pig back pronto and we'll come and get you at five o'clock on Sunday anyway.”

When Ron takes an 8 am on a Friday:

”I felt weird," said Ron, shifting his shoulders uncomfortably. "Like I'd never be cheerful again [...]"

--J.K Rowling, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

When Ron’s professors assign too much homework:

“I didn't think there was anything in the universe more important than homework.”

― J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

When Ron bonds with his roommate:

"Maybe you don’t have to do this all by yourself, mate."

--J.K Rowling, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Ron gets hit on by another girl like Lavender:

“Yeah, we’ll call you,” muttered Ron as the knight disappeared, “If we ever need someone mental.” ― J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

When Ron loses motivation for the semester:

“Okay, write that down," Hermoine said to Ron, pushing his essay and a sheet covered in her own writing back to Ron, "and then copy out this conclusion that I've written for you."

"Hermoine, you are honestly the most wonderful person I've ever met," said Ron weakly, "and if I'm ever rude to you again —" "-- I'll know you're back to normal," said Hermoine.” ― J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

When Ron’s professor doesn’t appreciate humor:

“Percy wouldn’t recognize a joke if it danced naked in front of him wearing Dobby’s tea cozy.”

—J.K Rowling, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Bonus: How Ron feels about college in general

“Right, you've got a crooked sort of cross..." He consulted Unfogging the Future. "That means you're going to have 'trials and suffering' — sorry about that — but there's a thing that could be the sun... hang on... that means 'great happiness'... so you're going to suffer but be very happy…" ― J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
