Thanksgiving break is upon many college campuses. Many students are getting antsy counting down the days until they can escape for the week. Here are the stages of emotions that each one experiences during the week leading up to break.
1. Stress
Every professor in the history of professors is trying to cram in last minute projects before break begins. It will all be over soon.
2. Exhaustion
We've pretty much been going constantly for 12 weeks now. None of us has had a good nights sleep in months.
3. Hunger
Yes, we all eat at the dining hall or restaurants on Main Street, but nothing beats a true home-cooked meal.
4. Going Stir-Crazy
No matter the size of your dorm room, it's still too tiny to live with another person. There comes a point when you look at all of your stuff crammed into storage containers under your bed and wonder how you managed to live like this.
5. Longing For Your Pets
Every college kid who has a dog or cat at home misses having them around. Nothing can beat their cuddles or just their presence in general when you're home.
6. Feeling Torn
We all want to go home and spend quality time there, but does anyone want to really leave their college friends and the freedom they have at school?
