It goes by faster than you think. I am talking about college. That being said we should all have a list of things that we want to accomplish while spending our four years there. I am not talking about GPA or signing up for graduate classes. I am talking about fun and silly things that every college girl should try to cross off her list to have the best college experience possible. Some of these items are more serious than others, but all should only add to your quality of life. Enjoy a list of things that every girl should try to do during college.
Find your future bridesmaids.
We are all just trying to find the group of girls that will make us laugh until our stomach hurts and will be there no matter what. At the end of the day we just want to have fun with our girls. College is the time to find those girls that you want to go on adventures with.
Join a club or organization.
Being apart of a club or organization can help you find people with similar interests. I am not talking about excluding others, but allowing yourself to feel welcomed by people with similar lifestyles. You could join an academic club or honors society and get to know people who share your same major and similar career goals. Getting linked in is never a bad ides.
Learn more about yourself.
It is a goal to learn who you really are. Figure out what you like and what you do not like. Find out what makes you happy and chase it. Find out which kind of people make you feel important and grow with them. Learn how you can be a better person than you were yesterday and value your progress.
Find a career to be passionate about.
Whatever it may be, we all want to find something that we are passionate about and make a career out of it. We want to work hard and make a difference in the world while doing things that make us happy.
Gain independence.
We want to learn how to be on our own. Whether it is learning how to change a tire or ruling the world we want to be able to do it with zero help. Independence means strength and we are ready for it.
Go on a road trip.
Go on a road trip with the people you love with no destination. Just feel free to pile up in a car and go anywhere or nowhere. Find new places, take pictures, and crack jokes. Make sure you give the aux chord to someone who deserves it.
Showcase your talents.
Do not be afraid to show off what you are good at. Whether it is in the classroom, on the court, or in the classroom you should never hold back. Stay humble but never let fear keep you from excelling at something that you love doing.
Play dress up.
You just want to get ridiculously over dressed or wear something that you are not used to only to go out of town with your girls to have a blast. Maybe you'll try overalls for the first time to go out to eat at a fancy restaurant, or maybe you'll dare to wear a floppy hat or flower crown to go to a concert. Either way we know it is fun to play dress up and college is a great place to do it considering there are out of town outings all the time.
