It's the middle of the semester and it's safe to say that all college students are more than a little bit tired. We're exhausted. How many more papers can we write? How many more exams can we take? Will the midterms ever get easier? Why can't the semester end already? We college students need a break from the exams and assignments otherwise we may just go completely insane from lack of rest. Here are the stages of exhaustion of the mid-semester college student:
1. Your wardrobe only consists of leggings, sweatshirts, and pajamas
What are jeans?
2. You don't even remember whether or not you brushed your hair in the morning
And honestly, it's been looking so ratchet lately, you probably can't even tell if you did brush it.
3. Paying attention in class means successfully keeping your eyes open
Staaaayyyy Awaaaakeee
4. Coffee doesn't work anymore
Now, coffee only makes me shaky and quickens my heartbeat but I still end up tired AF.
5. You're no longer ashamed of sleeping in public
Library couches, outside benches, public transportation; you name it, we're sleeping on it.
6. Your tolerance level is at an all time low
Don't even think about agitating an exhausted person, you WILL be harmed.
7. Forgetting to eat
You know you're exhausted when food is the LAST thing on your mind.
8. Eating to forget
Pizza and cookies can only mask your grades, the fact that you're failing two classes and drowning in assignments for so long.
9. You begin your search for a "Sugar Daddy/Mama"
Marrying rich is still a plausible option.
10. You begin to question your life choices
Do I really need a college degree or should I follow my dream of becoming a singer and audition for The Voice?
11. Delusion is a permanent state of mind
What day is it? What year is it? Is the semester over yet?
