It's something that no one wants to talk about, but everyone feels it at one point or another.

There is always that one time in the school year where all you can see is what seems like the hundreds of exams and papers that you have to get done. College becomes overwhelming around this time of year. It's very easy to allow ourselves to fall into this cycle of depression and anxiety about simple school work.

College is supposed to be the best few years of our lives where we find out who we are , and make friendships that last us a lifetime. It's the time when we find out what career we want for the rest of our lives and get involved in as many activities as possible. Yet there is always that one point in the year when it feels like the whole world is crashing down on us all.

Everyone has had college depression. Not to be confused with the disorder, college depression is a feeling of sadness or hopelessness with how college is going on many different fronts. Some people get depressed about there academics, others are depressed because they are home sick. At the end of the day whatever the reason college depression can be a horrible experience and make it hard to enjoy the college experience.

The best thing to remember is that college depression happens to everyone and that you are not alone in it. Everyone has had trouble with there academics and has been stressed out about classes. Everyone also has felt homesick at one point or another. The best thing to remember is that it doesn't last forever and that your classes will always get better.

So next time you are stressed out take a step back and relax, and don't let college depression get the best of you.
