College is a time for learning, growing, laughing and if we're going to be honest, a little bit of crying and a whole lot of napping. Being independent and on your own for the first time is intimidating, but it's also incredible. You learn valuable lessons, like what you can handle and what you can't. You learn your strengths and weaknesses and your limits. College is an incredible time in your life. Here it is told by the Disney classic:

The moment you're already stretched so thin and your professor assigns you a paper:

There are no words. All you can do is sit and watch your life burst into flames.

The emotional reaction to said professor when he assigns you the paper:

There may be no words, but there are actions. This is what you imagine doing to the professor who doesn't understand that fact that you're in 18 hours of class and you work 30 hours a week.

After staying up for hours working on the paper, you sleep in too late and have to make the mad dash to hand it in on time:

When you get your paper handed back and want to drop out of school right there:

Do strippers have to have a working knowledge of grammar rules? No? Found my new profession.

Attempting to explain your grade to your parents after you fail to produce an adequate paper:

There are no words to defend yourself. All of your good words were in your paper and you still failed. Just admit defeat.

You're still thinking of dropping out and becoming a stripper when you look in the mirror and realize:

The freshman 15. It's visible. Strippers don't have the freshman 15.

Trying to work off that freshman 15 at the gym:

After you've made it past all the exams, the papers, the freshman 15 and you're getting ready to go out to celebrate with your friends:

After you lose all the weight and you and your roommate are the same size. Now your cute clothes go missing randomly. Having someone to share clothes with is a blessing and a curse.

Once the wardrobe issues are fixed, you and your squad roll up to the party looking good and feeling even better:

Trying to avoid the 'close talker' or the 'touchy guy' at the party:

When you realize you're a strong, independent, capable college girl who doesn't need a man:

In college you're surrounded by people pressuring you into relationships. You need to remind yourself that it's not the most important thing at this time. Grow up a little, find yourself, and do your own saving.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
