College can get a little weird. You may have a mental breakdown one second and be perfectly fine the next second. You could survive your night out or end up in bed for the entirety of the next day. Some days you’ll learn to manage your time well and some days you’ll be super overwhelmed with stuff to do.
No matter what kind of college student you are, everyone can relate to Charlie Kelly on a personal level.
1. When you’re trying to study but people are being too loud.
The most frustrating thing in the entire world? When you finally drag yourself to a quiet area to get some work done but people just won't stop talking. You came to the library to study not to hear about Billy and Susie’s break up in excruciatingly extensive detail.
2. Trying to find a job.
All of the jobs on campus are either terrible or all filled up, and the ones off campus are either impossible to get to or hard to fit into your schedule. It’s truly a struggle.
3. Going Out.
Sometimes you can get a little bit too crazy. Or just the right amount of crazy. It’s always a good time, though.
4. Trying to find something to eat.
Sometimes college comes down to eating whatever edible thing there is available to you.
5. Trying to adult.
There are times you have to act like you know exactly what you're doing even though you definitely don’t.
6. Having early classes.
The professor doesn't want to be here. You don’t want to be here. You probably stayed up way too late the night before. Why are any of us here, really?
7. Study sessions.
Especially during finals week, you can spend hours just sitting in the library or your room without daylight or human interaction.
8. Doing presentations in class.
They never seem to get any easier.
9. Doing your own laundry.
Your mom just does it so much better somehow.
10. Pulling all-nighters to get work done.
You know when you look at what you've done in the morning after staying up all night? Yeah, it never looks as good as you thought it did at 4:30 am.
11. Trying to make friends.
First semester is all about being social and making new friends! Despite the awkwardness.
12. When you learn to multitask.
Rare, but somehow you’ve got laundry going, you’re doing your homework, and you remembered to eat all three meals today. Go you.
13. Listening to people talk about politics.
No one really cares that much. Really, truly, just stop talking.
14. When you run out of money.
Sometimes when you’re broke you’ve got to get creative.
15. When you bring food to class.
Sometimes when you’re in a rush the only option is to bring your lunch to class. The struggle here is trying to be subtle.
16. Trying out greek life.
You’ve gotta try to make a good impression.
17. When you contemplate dropping out.
Everyone’s thought about it.
18. Rooting for your school at a sporting event.
Maybe your team sucks or maybe they don't, but either way you're going all out with school spirit.
19. Trying to get a good picture for Instagram.
You’ve taken over 100 why are none of them post-able?
20. When you finally reach the weekend.
Nothing is getting between you and getting lit.
21. Having a mental breakdown.
Just have to pick what you're studying and pick what you want to do for the rest of your life and study for those 3 midterms next week. No pressure!
22. When you B.S. an entire assignment.
You have no idea what you're talking about but you definitely know you're going to act like you do.
23. Trying to convince your friends to go out.
You know they want to. If not, you'll drag them.
24. When you realize you’re going to survive.
Barely, but you will.
College can make everyone go crazy sometimes. Whether or not you’ll pick up Charlie's cat food addiction is up to you.
