As graduation begins to approach we seniors begin to reminisce on the past years. The late nights we spent in the library cramming for tests, the parties and bars tabs that had longing effects on our wallets and those few little tips we wish someone had given us our freshman year. So as we begin to move on into the adult world, here are a few tips for underclassman that we wish we would have been given:

1. Work hard in school early on so you can live it up your senior year.

We all know the struggle of playing catch up senior year because we spent more nights at the bar instead of library freshman year. Freshman year is meant to be fun but learn how to balance school and your social life so it doesn't bite you in the butt later on. You want to be able to relax and enjoy your senior year by doing the bare minimum.

2. Don't stress so much.

There is no sense in continuously pulling all nighters and stressing yourself out to the point of being miserable. College is hard work and there are difficult times but don't stress because in the end everything is going to work out.

3. Don't put all your eggs in one basket.

Whether it's school, boys, future jobs or anything else in life, don't rely solely on one thing. You never know how things are going to work out in the end so always make sure you have options.

4. Develop good habits.

Transitioning from home cooked meals to dining hall food and fast food restaurants tends to lead to the dreadful freshman 15. Avoid this by developing healthy eating habits and working out regularly. You will be thankful you did when you still have a rockin' bod senior year.

5. Take time to yourself.

It's easy to get caught up in all the hustle and bustle of college so it's important to remember to take some time to yourself. College is a time to find yourself and sometimes that takes going on a walk alone or reading a book to give you time to reflect.

6. Build up your resume.

It's not all about your GPA. Now don't get me wrong, future employers like to see a high GPA but work experience is just as important. Instead of spending your summer on the beach and waiting tables, get an internship in the field you are interested in. Not only will you have a stronger resume because of it, you may even realize the field you suspected you would like is not something you see yourself doing.

7. They aren't worth your tears or heartache.

Throughout your four years you will meet tons of people and unfortunately, not all of them will be great. You will have relationships and they will end but always remember that things happen for a reason. One day you will meet the person you are meant to be with and every thing that has ever happened before will make sense.

8. Enjoy it.

Before you know it you will be in your last week of classes, packing up your apartment and on your way to starting a new job. Four years flies by fast so fast make sure you cherish every moment. Take chances, make memories and enjoy every new friendship and lesson you will gain.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
