Why are people trying to take the fun out of Halloween?

I'm going to be honest with you, I have a fear of clowns. Now with all the new clown sightings going on, my anxiety has gone through the roof!

Recently, there has been a new trend of clowns popping up over the country. Sometimes they are "harmless" and are there just to mentally frighten people. But on the other hand you have knife-yielding maniacs chasing after you while you're simple going on an early morning hike! Incase you want to see the video, you can fearfully watch it right here. WARNING! There are some swear words in the video.

Personally if I were to encounter a clown in this day and age, I would run as fast as I could away from these things and get as far away as possible!

After watching some of these videos and reading some articles, there is no doubt to why people should be in fear. As seen in the above video, this clown had a KNIFE! A KNIFE for goodness sake! Why on earth would you want to chase someone with a knife! When did this concept become ok with you?!

Also where are all of these clowns coming from?

I have seen clown videos where they are in the woods, in cities, and even standing on a billboard! Why on earth would you even want to get on one? That is just asking for disaster to happen! If you would like to see the video and read another article, you can click on the link here http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/10/05/scary-c.... Again, in some of the videos there are strong words expressed.

With all of these incidents occurring, it has me wondering; what will Halloween be like this year?

As many people are suspecting to happen, more clowns will be loose and haunting the streets as our poor innocent children go out to just get some good candy. Now why would you steal the pure innocence and fun out of that for these kids? All they want is some good candy! Yet we all know that there will be multiple clown sightings on Halloween. Hopefully none will be spotted near me because I would like to enjoy my Halloween without being terrified.

If you do run into one, please be safe. While this is a national "trend" going on that is supposed to be supposedly harmless, some of these sightings are serious. Some are carrying machetes and knives. There have even been reports of clowns following people from their jobs or school all the way to their home. So please, be safe. Hopefully this will calm down soon and will just be a grim memory to think about. Like when people thought it was ok to do the Kylie Jenner lip challenge. (Insert eye roll here.)

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
