7 Christmas Songs Ranked By Their Lit-ness

It’s Christmas time again and everyone is sick of the songs that have been played since Jesus popped out of the womb. If you’re throwing a Christmas banger and need some inspiration and want your guests to get low, I put together the most lit spotify playlist of Christmas songs. You’re welcome.

1. Drummer Boy - Justin Bieber

This song is may be the ABSOLUTE most lit Christmas song to ever be created and one of the best JB songs to ever be produced right behind “Never Say Never” (only because Jaden Smith). Anyway, Justin’s rapping career peaked in this song, creating the perfect mix of Christmas bells and bass drops. The most creative lyrics in this song would have to be, “People everywhere and all our twitter followers, Merry Christmas, Kwanzaa, Happy Hanukkah!” and “Playing for the king, playing for the title, I'm surprised you didn't hear this in the Bible.” It’s the perfect balance of getting lit and praising Jesus. Way to go, JB.

Lit Rating: 10.0

2. Up On The Housetop - Pentatonix

This is one of a couple Pentatonix Christmas songs that make the lit list. This song names all the reindeer which makes in an automatic head-banger.

Lit Rating: 9.2

3. Up On The Rooftop - Glee

Yes, I know, why tf is Glee on this list. Hear me out, this song is as lit as Glee gets. Glee creates this masterpiece by combining a couple of Christmas songs and many beat drops. You may not want to but expect many dabs while jamming. This song makes you want to watch Glee and hate yourself for it all over again.

Lit Rating: 8.5

4. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays - Pentatonix

Pentatonix makes the list for the second time. This is the type of song you play when you are warming your guests up for the real head-banger. The beatboxing in this song is sick and it does that thing at the end where everyone sings together and sounds like a gospel church. This shit will make you clap your hands so high and so hard. Would have been an 8 with more bass drops.

Lit Rating: 7.9

5. O Come, All Ye Faithful - Pentatonix

This song is not necessarily your traditional lit song. This song is the type of song that sounds like it’s being sung by a high school choir but you would 10/10 jam to it anytime. It’s a super religious song with a sick beat that would make your priest get lit. Also, thanks for having your music game together, Pentatonix and making the list three times.

Lit Rating: 6.4

6. 12 Days of Christmas - Relient K

The band sounds like they’re a grunge high school garage band but still gives a fun twist on a originally boring af song. The only thing that this song has going for them is the head banging that naturally comes with it. Enjoy sixth place.

Lit Rating: 5.8

7. Mrs. Santa Claus - R. Kelly

This song is the type of song you play while people are just starting to get into the dancing mood at you Christmas banger. Not a great song but if you’re in a sensual mood and you’re in the Christmas spirit, this song is perfect for you. You tried, R. Kelly. You peaked with Ignition.

Lit Rating: 4.9

Honorable Mentions:

Someday at Christmas - Justin Bieber

This song is super political and annoying coming from 13-year-old JB. Thanks for being woke and sounding like a little girl singing at a Christmas recital. Try again next year, Justin.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays - NSYNC

This song is actually pretty lit but NSYNC is completely irrelevant now so enjoy the honorable mention, boys.

Extraordinary Merry Christmas - Glee Cast

Also a pretty lit Christmas song but I thought one Glee song was enough. Also theres too much of Berry in it, which no one wants. Get the gang back together and maybe you can make the list next year, New Direction.

Thank me later for this playlist.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
