Christmas season is now upon us! Here are some fun crafty DIY's to decorate your house, or even give as gifts! All of these DIY’s were found on Pinterest the credit goes to those who made them, I am just sharing them with you all! 1) Melted Crayon Art Christmas ornaments
These are super fun to make and even the kids can make them as a fun christmas project (with supervision)!
What you’ll need:
Clear glass
Ornament(s)
Crayons
Peeler
Piece of paper or plastic funnel
Hairdryer
Instructions:
- Remove labels from crayons
- Whittle crayons with peeler
- Open the ornament and stick the crayon slivers inside
- Heat the ornament with a hairdryer
2) Holiday themed mason jars
These are just so cute and festive! It allows you to be creative and personalize your mason jar!What you’ll need:
Mason Jar
Adhesive label sheet
Spray paint/glitter paint/acrylic paint
Marbles/lights/tealights
- Cut any shape out of adhesive label sheet (this one was a bell but you can do a tree, an ornament, etc.) and attach it to the mason jar
- Then paint the jar whatever color you wish and remove the adhesive label to reveal the shape chosen
- Then fill the mason jar with marbles, string lights, ortealight and you have your gift!
3) Decorative Pallet sign
Perfect for an early gift if you know someone who loves decorating and it can also be interchangeable throughout the year to serve as a lifetime decoration! Just change the quote or paint over it a solid color and you have a nice new pallet to work with!
What You’ll need:
Twinkle lights (if you want)
Painters tape
Drill
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Nail gun or hammer and nails
Acrylic paint
Paint pen (if you wish)
Pallet wood
Instructions:
- Connect the pallets together however way you want them to hang and make sure there is a support on the back!
- Begin with your lettering or picture you wish to create (Tip: begin at the bottom with the last word so you make sure you have plenty of room)
- If using twinkle lights lay them out on the pallet and tape them down to get an idea of where you want them to be placed
- Then place the twinkle lights behind the pallet and drill the holes to push the lights through the front of the board
- Superglue the wires and battery pack on the back of the board and you’re done!
4) DIY Pumpkin Spice latte
This one is my favorite! Will be trying this and drinking this all winter without spending a bunch of money! Perfect for a little gathering or whenever you need to satisfy that pumpkin spice craving!What you’ll need:
2 cups milk
2 tablespoons canned pumpkin
2 tablespoons sugar
½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
¼-1/2 cup espresso
Instructions:
1. Combine milk, pumpkin and sugar in a pot and stir over medium heat until steamed
2. Remove from heat and add in vanilla and pumpkin spice
3. Blend the entire mixture together for about 10 seconds or until foamy
4. Pour into mug and add espresso
