Four years ago I was a freshmen in college and knew no one. Some of my hall mates and I decided to attend sorority information nights where you meet all the members of each sorority at our university. Coming to college I never thought I would go through the whole recruitment process much less join a sorority!
As a potential new member I was excited for the whole recruitment process and when each night got closer to bid day I felt myself drawn to one sorority in particular. I never thought when I would except my bid to become a sister of Zeta Tau Alpha how much my life would change, and for the better! I've been an active member in my chapter for four years, and it's really true what they say you get what you put into things! I'm so happy I put in the effort to be involved with Zeta, because I've grown as a young woman and my confidence has boosted.
I encourage everyone who is in a sorority to apply for positions and become involved, instead of just being a number or being that sister who just wears the letters. Because I've held various position in my chapter I've grown a different love for Zeta and these positions have taught me leadership skills I can carry on into my career.
I ask my sorority sisters why they chose Zeta Tau Alpha over any other sororities, and this is what they had to say:
