I was probably one of the last generations that actually went out and played games with my friends and neighbors, but I am so grateful I got that experience. Kids now just sit in and play fortnite or watch youtube, but kids born in the early 2000s and before definitely got a better deal in terms of childhood. These activities are bound to bring you back in time.

1. Freedom/Manhunt

It's honestly like a mixture of hide and seek and tag and it was just the best summer game that expanded for a few blocks as you tried to have your team be victorious.

2. Kick the can

You hid and tried to be the one to run and kick the can without the person who was it getting you before you get the can.

3. Red Rover

Testing your strength as you and friends join hands trying your hardest not to let the other team pass through you.

4. Stick ball and Wiffle ball

These are still around, but not played as often as they should be. Going to the closest open field to play a game was always a great time.

5. Sewey

Alright this one was mostly for the boys, but even the girls engaged or at least were there while the boys played.

6. Kick ball

This is obviously the same as stick ball and wiggle ball, should definitely be played more, a mixture of baseball and soccer, great game.

7. Knock Knock Zoom Zoom/ Ding Dong Ditch

You're lying if this game wasn't a thrill for you during your youth, you wanted to play, of course, but were also afraid of what would happen if you got caught.

8. Box Ball

This was a classic grade school/ middle school game at recess, which then carried over to outfront of your house with the cement squares (rowhomes allowed you to have the perfect set up out front.)

9. Razor Scooters (which probably hit your ankles a million times)

You know you still remember the pain of hitting your ankle on the scooter, but they were too much fun to stop using them.

10. Played Hopscotch

Another classic, drawing the court with chalk outfront and seeing who could do it best.

11. Played double dutch

Another classic middle school recess activity that probably led you to buying a rope or two ropes in some cases to play double dutch.

12. Used a skip it

These also hurt like hell when you managed to hit yourself in the ankle, but other than that they were a great time.

13. Sliding around in Heelys for those who were born around 98/99 up into the early 2000s

Remember the one christmas that everyone got a pair of heelys and had to go outside and roll around all day, they were all people wanted to wear to school too.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
