Every girl grows up watching a number of movies that will affect their live forever. Whether it reaches us women how to deal with boys have no loyalty to us or even being a part of a crazy family where no outsider understands. Here are my five recommendations that any diva will appreciate.
1. A Cinderella Story
My all time favorite movie in the world! I was such a Hillary Duff groupie that it got out of hand. This movie taught me that no matter what your background was, everyone is going through something and it doesn’t mean that is shades you away from talking to different people. You might be in a different cliques and live different stories, but there’s always a medium and it may be with love.
2. Freaky Friday
This movie is the epitome of growing up in a family where you feel like an outsider, and honestly, every young girl has had that experience so that’s why it is so relatable. But the character Anna in this movie will soon realize that as much as she may feel like she doesn’t fit in, it’ll be a mistake to try and shy away from her family.
3. Confessions of A Teenage Drama Queen
We’ve all had that stage in out life where out mothers called us drama queens but in this film, Mary didn’t leave that stage just yet. The aspiring actress from New York moves to New Jersey and realizes that living a jersey life is not anything like the drama New York brings. She comes across a rivaling actress that wants the part of Eliza in their school play and they both have to fight for it, no matter what it takes.
4. Raise Your Voice
Bringing up another Hillary Duff movie because she’s my favorite, obviously. The movie tells a tale of a girl named Terry who was raised with strict parents and one night, she sneaks out of the house with her brother for a concert and they get into a car accident and he winds up passing away. Before he does, he submits an application for this talent summer program for her to attend in Los Angeles but is scared to actually give in her submission. She winds up getting accepted and lies to her parents about going there and she’s in a bumpy road that’s filled with a crush, rivalry and the mourning of her brother.
5. She's The Man
Lastly, a crowd fave because Amanda Bynes is literally perfection in this. She is by far the most sassiest athlete I've ever seen before and she is the true representation of girl power. In this amazing movie, she takes the place of her brother as his new boarding school because she really wants to play soccer while he wants to tour in London with his band. So she dresses up like a dude but while in the scheme of things, falls in love with her/his roommate/teammate. Things get a little heated when she is almost caught but to do what you love has no price.
