Edward Bulwer-Lytton once said, "Let youth cherish sleep, the happiest of earthly boons, while yet it is at its command; for there cometh the day to all when neither the voice of the lute nor the birds shall bring back the sweet slumbers that fell on their young eyes as unbidden as the dews."
Youth is a precious and valuable trait that we should not waste. We should consider what we want to accomplish in life first before we think about starting a family, or settling down. I honestly do not understand my peers that I have today, or why they want to give up their freedom early.
In my opinion, it is okay to fall in love with someone and perhaps consider them as your significant other. Be that as it may, I would not want to throw away future goals that I have set for myself. I believe that people my age, and younger, need to consider what accomplishments that they want to pursue in life before making any other quick decisions.
"Through our great good fortune," says Oliver Wendell Holmes, "in our youth our hearts were touched with fire. It was given to us to learn at the outset that life is a profound and passionate thing." If one does not cherish their freedom or youthful years, then they will not be anymore younger than they are at this very moment.
Growing up is a long-term development that everyone has to go through. The more we adapt and learn throughout our youthful years, the more we will be prepared for our future. Do not rush your life until you have fully lived it the way you want to live it.
Travel the world, or experience new adventures every day! Be full of curiosity and let your mind become open to new things! Your knowledge cannot expand if you decide to give up the rest of your youthful years.
"Youth comes but once in a lifetime," said Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. The problem with most generations of today's modern society is that they all try to grow up too fast. However, when they come to a realization that they were not prepared to grow up it is difficult for these individuals to pursue their dreams.
It is never too late for you to set goals for yourself, but accomplishing them may be more challenging when you are older than when you are younger. Be that as it may, anything is possible if you just have faith in yourself.
Willa Cather once said, "When we look back, the only things we cherish are those which in some way met our original want; the desire which formed in us in early youth, undirected, and of its own accord."
