Charlie Sheen has had a turbulent 2015.
The former "Two and a Half Men" actor made the decision to publicly announce that he is HIV-positive on November 17 to Matt Lauer on NBC's "Today" show. During this emotional interview, Sheen revealed that he was diagnosed four years ago and has paid millions of dollars to cover up the incriminating diagnosis.
Recently, Sheen's former fiancée, Scottine Ross, has filed a lawsuit against Sheen. Ross is suing Sheen, and accusing him of assault, battery, false imprisonment, and failure to disclose his HIV-positive diagnosis. She is suing for the amount of $1 million and the earnings from Sheen's canceled show "Anger Management."
Sheen's attorney issued a quote on the morning of December 3, which is the same day Ross filed her lawsuit.
"Charlie Sheen intends to vigorously defend the lawsuit filed by Scottine Ross. We are confident that Mr. Sheen will prevail on his claims for affirmative relief against her."
Ross, who is a former adult film actress, began her relationship with Sheen in November 2013, stating that the relationship began with the two meeting "solely for sex" and Sheen would pay her $10,000, according to court reports. The two started dating shortly after their first encounter, and believed they would be married. The couple did get engaged in January 2014, but the relationship ended later that year.
Sheen would become "a different person" when he drank and did drugs, and he "became violent and abusive." On several occasions, Sheen would drag Ross by the arms and place her in a chokehold, pointing an unloaded gun at her head and pulling the trigger repeatedly, according to court reports.
Ross' lawsuit states that she is under "extreme emotional distress" due to Sheen's HIV diagnosis. She found out about the diagnosis when she found Sheen's medicine in the bathroom of the home they shared. When Sheen admitted his diagnosis, he and Ross had had sex multiple times. The lawsuit does not disclose whether or not Ross is HIV-positive.
The lawsuit also discloses several "bizarre episodes" from Sheen, episodes that made Ross worried. On a plane ride, Ross refused to eat french fries that Sheen was feeding her, and Sheen threw his iPad across the plane and stomped on it, according to the court reports. In Hawaii, Sheen allegedly threw Ross' Tiffany bracelet over the side of a boat.
The court reports also mentions that Ross told Sheen that she was pregnant, and "wanted to name the child 'Charlie' if it was a girl." Sheen allegedly told Ross that he "did not want his child to have his blood type (HIV-positive) and that she should have an abortion," which is what she did.
The pair's relationship allegedly ended over a text message to Ross from Sheen. The end of the relationship sent Ross into a "emotional tailspin and she attempted to commit suicide."
I really hope that Sheen attempts to get his life together before he further damages others or himself.
