To The One Who Changed My Life

To the one who changed my life,

I once heard a quote about meeting someone and a fire being lit inside of you like nothing you have ever felt before. I thought I knew what love, companionship, passion and compassion was about but I was wrong. Until I met you I didn’t know what it was like to have someone always there for me at any hour, someone who is willing to help me with whatever I am going through, someone who will deal with me at 2am when I’m crying on my floor in pieces and 2 in the afternoon when I’m laughing and dancing to my favorite songs. The way you care about me I have never experienced from another before. The thing is I always cared about the person I was with, but they never full heartedly cared about me how you do. You ask me if I eat, if I have had enough sleep and how my classes are. When I am in tears with frusturation from the weight of the world on me you are my superman. You swoop in and help me with studying, being a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on.

I have always pictured my future as being a graphic designer and having a clear career path with someone by my side. When I met you I knew you were the missing puzzle piece, you make the clouds of the unknown disappear and with you I know. I know how much I love you; I know I want to build a future with you. I can not wait for the day we get to come home to one another in a house we have turned into a home. The amount of happiness you bring me could never be described fully. Before you I was broken, with you in my life I have been happier than I have ever been. You complement my quirks and understand me in a way no one else could. I can always be myself with you and never question if you love me.

Thank you for being the influence in my life that you are, for allowing me to love you and loving me in return. I can not wait to see the next chapters of our life, this world can be big and scary with a lot of rough waves but there is no one else I’d rather surf them with than you.
