Over the past few months, I have been trying to better my life by being positive, remaining driven, being thankful, and thinking one step at a time. There are many bad habits that I've had to overcome and am still actively trying to conquer. There is no black and white answer to happiness. There is no write or wrong on how we live our lives. Simple changes in thinking about my life and expressing my emotions have changed my life for the better.

Playing the victim card
We have all had pity parties and felt bad for ourselves at one time or another. It's not hard to find reasons to be a victim. Don't be a victim, be a success story. Don;t be a statistic, be a survivor. Risk it, it's worth it.
Making excuses
It's easy to blame everything else in the world rather than owning up to our own mistakes. Excesses are just reasons to not hold yourself accountable. Own up, and become better. Learn from what has happened, and become better.
Letting society tell you how to live
Society has brainwashed us into thinking everything we do needs to be done a certain way. Well, guess what? IT DOESN'T! You get to choose what you do, when you do it, and how you do it. Have confidence in yourself and dare to be different! Don't be the person society tells you to be. Be the person that your heart tells you to be.
Trying to make other people happy
Sometimes, no matter how hard you try, you cannot change others. Everyone makes their own decisions and sticking around only to watch someone fail can be bother frustrating and heart breaking. People can come and go, and when we lose track of this fact, others burdens become our own. No matter how much we ma want to help others attain happiness, we can only do so much.
Relying on others to make you happy
Unfortunately, we cannot control other peoples actions and emotions. Other people can come and go at anytime for any reason. This is very scary. Relying on others for you happiness is risky business. If they up and leave without warning, you will have no idea where to begin.
Doubting yourself
I am still fighting this myself. I always second guess myself. Make a decision and trust in yourself. Trust you gut. Trust your heart. Doubt will only lead to "what if" and those will drive you crazy.

Enjoying alone time
At the end of the day, no matter what happens, you will always have yourself. It is hard to start to enjoy your own company, but it does get easier. Being able to depend on yourself is one of the most rewarding feelings.
Turning off gadgets and go outside
Nature is the best medicine. It can cure any emotional problem and can help you clear your head and make thoughtful decisions. Being constantly connected is unhealthy and can drive a person insaine. Have you ever heard of FOMO? It means Fear Of Missing Out. Well when you are constantly distracted by your phone updating your status or posting a photo on instagram, you are missing the most important thing; you are missing your life.
Think positively
Possitivity is a driving force. No matter what happens, a possitive reaction and attitude can will anyone through anything. The brightside of life is much better, trust me.
Believe in yourself
In this crazy world, there is always one thing you can change, and that is yourself! Beliving that you can do anything you set your mind to is the first step to success. Don't let your dreams be dreams, believe that they can become reality.
Making your own happiness
Happiness comes from within. Everything you could ever want is within you right now, all you have to do it find it.
Expressing your creativity
Let your imagination run wild. Paint that picture, write that book. Do what makes you happy and get what you are feeling on the inside out. Get it out and express what lives inside you!
Acknowledge your desires/dreams/wishes
Sit down and take a minute to really think about what it is you want. This first step, establishing what is you want. Find desires, so you can achieve them. Set goals, so you can smash them.
Make everything you want happen
Go out there a do. Don't stop for anything until you have reached your goals. Once you have reached your goals, set new ones, bigger ones. Nothing is impossible if you take it one step at a time.
Helping others realize they can make their own happiness
Once you have realized that you control your happiness, help spread the love and knowledge! If everyone in this world realizes that the strength and power of happiness lives within each and every one of us, then mankind will overall be happy. The world will be overall better.
