This season of The Bachelorette has been the most dramatic season ABC has seen thus far. Last season of The Bachelor, where we met our fine Bachelorette, JoJo, was fairly tame. The most excitement we saw was with Olivia, a news anchor from Austin, Texas. She is known for her large mouth, confidence/cockiness, and being the most aggressive girl in the house last season.
Sadly, our queen JoJo was not chosen to live happily ever after with the very "meh," Ben.
But that's okay with us because now she's the most fabulous Bachelorette we've ever seen.
With the Bachelorette comes several eligible bachelors vying for JoJo's love. We've got some gems (James-Taylor, Chase, Luke, Jordan) and a few bad seeds (Chad, Chad, Chad, Chad). What's so bad about Chad, you may ask? He's as annoying, conceited, rude, and aggressive as Olivia, but this guy (according to Evan) might have steroids on his side, making him violent and unpleasant altogether, regardless of how rugged he is or how well he wears that five o'clock shadow.
Both Olivia and Chad have a false sense of security. They believe the show is about them and Ben or JoJo, respectively, and everyone else is just a contestant in a game.
They both defend their isolation from the rest of the house by suggesting they're just on different intellectual levels, but neither of them exhibit much intellect, just lots of catty drama or brawny threats.
Nobody in the house really likes either of them. They have very few (if any) friends. Yes, it's true you don't go on the show to make friends, but you certainly don't want to make enemies.
They both have this air to them as if they're the sexiest in the house, like Olivia coming out of the cake or Chad constantly being shirtless (I won't complain about that one).
But in the end, other members of the house came to Ben and JoJo to tell them what Olivia and Chad were really like behind the scenes. Ben took Olivia on a 2-on-1 date and left her stranded on an island in the Bahamas, while JoJo took Chad on a 2-on-1 date and left him stranded in the woods in Pennsylvania (but somehow he showed up at the house later).
And finally, both of them have given us something to look forward to at the end of every episode. Monday nights are the best!
