Meow.
That is the only assumed word you hear coming from a cat's mouth when it opens. That's alright though, because cats are pretty incredible if you think about it. Call me a crazy cat lady, but when my cats cuddle up next to me and vocalize their soothing purring, it lulls me right to sleep.
Cats are seen as evil and stupid among many people, those being dog lovers, but don't get me wrong! Dogs are just as lovely as cats and nothing against them and their fan club, but cats don't get enough credit it my book. Claws develop "oh so horrifying" scratches, bite marks develop ripped skin and jagged lines, and sometimes the hiss that they give you leaves a thought of, "Oh my gosh. What did I do to upset this beautiful creature?" Sure I have a few scars from both of my cats, more from one than the other, but that does not make me love them any less and okay, yes. It can become just a wee bit annoying when I am woken up every day at four in the morning by meowing and purring just because they happen to be excited about the start of their day even when it isn't the start of mine.
There is just so much to enjoy about cats and all that they are. I love it when cats will sit there for hours and just stare at you like they despise every last bit of you. I enjoy when they curl up in a ball with their paw over their face for the thirtieth nap in the last three hours. I think it is adorable when they tilt their head to the side and look at you with confusion written across their features. I find it enjoyable to watch them play and run around the house like maniacs. I love cats even when they do nothing because to me they're doing everything.
They're modest and independent. They don't need to rely on someone feeding them every day because they know how to make their food bowl last. They don't bother me to take them outside and play every waking minute of the day because they know how to entertain themselves without the help of myself or anyone else. Cats are a blessing in disguise.
Sure I may sound like one of those "crazy cat ladies", but in my opinion we all have something we're crazy about and I suppose cats just bring that side out of me. Guess what? I don't mind it one bit. Cats just so happen to be my way of maintaining my overall health and I enjoy it every single day.
I love my two cats with all my heart because they are my family and that love will never stop growing.
