Here is a guide of places to eat and things to do while visiting Catalina Island according to me.
One of my favorite breakfast stops is Jack’s and their fresh fruit crepes or Coyote Joe’s breakfast burrito. If you’re a coffee addict like me, you need to make a stop at Catalina Island Brew House or Catalina Coffee and Cookie, both shops also serve killer smoothies. The Brew House is also known for their soft pretzels. Now that you have some energy, time for some fun.

If you’re up for an off-roading adventure, hop on one of the jeep tours that take you to the interior and/or ridge of the island, which takes you on an adventure to explore the miles of reserved land. For a similar tour, but a smoother ride, climb aboard a 1950s bus taking you on a condensed tour of the interior or a rundown of the town. Once finished with exploring the island, head on over to Eric’s on the Pier and get some fish tacos before hitting the beach, ten feet away.

Eric's on The Pier is great for anytime of day especially if sitting on the beach near by for the day! Photo by Elizabeth Messina
https://www.facebook.com/Erics-on-the-Pier-1112875...An afternoon of swimming and paddle boarding builds up an appetite. Plans for the evening begin to fall in place. The big decision, what is for dinner? If leaning toward the more casual and kid friendly side, take a walk over to Antonio’s Pizzeria, with a huge menu to choose from. For parent’s night out or celebratory dinner, make your way to Steve’s Steakhouse, above the Brew House and with a view! For a celebratory dinner and fantastic seafood make your way to Bluewater grill, sitting on the water next door to Antonio’s. If the aroma hasn’t already lead you there, follow the smell of fresh made waffle cones to Big Olaf’s. If you would prefer an adult night cap, go to the infamous Luau Larry’s and get a Wiki Wacker complete with a hat!

http://www.luaularrys.com/Grab a hat, sunscreen and your sunglasses and head to Descanso beach club, a private beach open to the public. Saturday’s are one big party; chairs, towels and rafts flood the beach as music engulfs all of the people’s responsibilities. Up for more adventures? Head over to the Pier and check out the Glass Bottom Boat or Semi Submarine. I would suggest to do everything possible and try all the places you can, even the crappy places. Be adventurous and try new foods and drinks!

A famous attraction for Catalina are the Glass Bottom Boat tours. Photo by Elizabeth Messina
http://www.visitcatalinaisland.com/activities-adve...One of the huge things on my list is a sundown isthmus tour. The tour takes you down the coast to the isthmus, where you have dinner and spend a few hours. On the boat ride, there is potential to see flying fish. I hope to be able to go to Two Harbors, on the other side of the island, and camp there. I hope to be able to find more favorites as time goes on.
