Let's be honest here: Carrie Underwood is the definition of perfection. She has the looks, the attitude, and the voice of an angel. She is one that your daughters can look up to without worry of a sexualized tabloid or scandal about her. Carrie is the ULTIMATE American Idol (see what I did there?).

1. She is the most well known Idol winner

I know what you're thinking, "what about Kelly Clarkson?!" Although Clarkson was the first American Idol winner in history, Underwood outshines her, especially in Underwood's most recent "Storyteller" tour. In awards alone, Carrie has landed over 142 awards, including more than 6 Grammy awards. Underwood has also earned more than 50 million dollars more than Clarkson in the past decade. Even Ryan Seacrest chose Carrie Underwood as the most successful American Idol winner over Kelly Clarkson! If that isn't saying something,

then I'm not sure what is.

2. She is a role model for the whole family

Carrie knows how to keep it classy. She rocks every single one of her outfits without any distasteful showings. She doesn't need to "throw that ass in a circle" at her concerts to get the crowds going. She can make fans get up and dance to songs without a single cuss word or derogatory comment. Similar with her interviews, she is poised and keeps her family-friendly reputation well-maintained. Carrie also isn't just a superstar, she's also a mother and loving wife. She incorporates her values into all of her music, especially highlighting on her family and faith.

3. Her music isn't all "f**k b*****s, get money"

We all know the type of music I'm talking about here. Music is starting to lose it's intended purpose of telling stories, sending messages, and connecting emotionally to listeners with today's pop and rap music. Carrie Underwood has effortlessly brought the indended purpose back. Carrie's music tells of heart break, love, lust, family, growing up, faith, revenge, and more. In fact, her 2016 tour is even called "Storyteller" because of her love to tell stories through music and finds importance in it. It's so hard to find artists who make music with meaning anymore. There are few things in life that are more powerful than music that can really connect with people, especially when they are going through either really great or really terrible situations. Tugging at the heart strings through music is just too rare in this day and age to not get recognition.

4. She is physically perfect and you can't deny it

I mean, just LOOK. She is literally all of the goals.

Carrie Underwood is a confident leader, not only in the country music industry, but in all aspects of life. While most other artists mold their personality and music to fit the wants of their fans, she isn't afraid to sing from the heart and about what she believes in. She is a woman for your daughters to grow up and strive to be like.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
