Our generation is known primarily for the constant photo taking of every single event in our lives. Others find it annoying and unnecessary, but when it really comes down to it, it’s a really good thing.
Think about this, in this point and time, it’s “the best time of our lives.” We hear it all the time from everyone. We believe it too. It’s a time to have fun, gain experience and a time of figuring out who we are and who we want to be. If this is infact “the best time of our lives,” why not capture special moments while it lasts?
Time is flying by whether we like it or not. I remember being in eighth grade, fretting about what high school will be like, and now I’m going onto my junior year in high school. It’s gone by fast, and it’s not going to slow down anytime soon. It’s been a great two years of high school though, great memories, new experiences, what usually goes on. However, I am living in the moment, like most other kids my age. We all are living in our lives now, wrapped up in what’s new, what’s what, and what’s going on in this point in time.
It’s because we all know this time frame in our lives short and before we know it, we’ll have adult lives. We want to live in the moment, and enjoy ourselves. We capture each moment with a picture because we know it won’t last forever, but we want to remember the good times we had and relieve the good old days.
Imagine one day when you’re older, you might have a family of your own, a career, you are in a new time frame of your life. You are able to look back on those days and remember the fun you had with your friends. You aren’t going to remember every single moment during that time, but when you are able to capture what you did and the misadventures you took part in, you can relieve them; remember, and gain a bit of happiness upon looking back.
Even when you’re older, you can capture memories. Continue to capture each moment so you can remember what you took part in. Throughout life, each time frame you live in will become a past one, and while capturing each moment, you can remember what went on, and can never forget.
Pictures are memories. As cliche as that sounds, it’s true. Little bottled up memories, inside jokes, and adventures are always living through pictures. You look back and can remember that time you went to the beach with your friends, or that special date, or that trip to Florida, whatever it may be. If you capture your special moment, they won’t be forgotten. And we need to take that through life, to capture it all, so we can all look back at our lives and remember what we did, and remember who we were, and who we’ve become.
