Donald Trump has become the 45th President of the United States. Consequently, rioters burn American flags and cause redundant amounts of disruption. I just have one question: What does burning the American flag accomplish? Do you think burning our nations symbol will get Donald Trump to not be our future president anymore? Do you think it will actually make any difference? You’re in for a rude awakening when January rolls around.
In life, we don’t always get what we want. Thousands of people were angry when President Obama was elected. What did they do? Absolutely nothing. They were furious, ut you didn’t see them harassing other Obama supporters. They didn't destroy our precious symbolic flag and violently cause disturbances. Acting out like that, because you didn’t win, doesn’t make you a protestor or a rioter. It makes you a child throwing a tantrum because they couldn’t get the toy that they wanted.
It is a disgrace that people are demanding for our future president to be assassinated. All because your side lost. Do you realize how pathetically insane that is? All because your side of the election lost, you wish DEATH to the candidate who won. How is that fair? How can you even call yourself an American? Here we stand with our new future president. An intelligent man who is incredibly passionate about this country and people are demanding he be assassinated. If you can’t see how absurd that is, you are the problem. We should be supporting our Commander- in -Chief because news flash: we are all on the same team. We are all Americans. Democrat or Republican. Liberal or Conservative. If you don’t want to be associated as an American then why are you even here? You are just bringing our country down more and more each day. It is humiliating turning on the T.V. and seeing ignorant, vicious people rip our country’s flag apart and light it on fire. Not to mention they are completely destroying some of our beautiful cities.
We need to realize that we do not always win and we do not always get what we want. There will be times when we win and other times we lose. That is life! Losing does not give you permission to brutally assault others or wish someone to their death. You don’t need to love Donald Trump. But you also don’t need to be attacking others and provoking violence because you lost. This isn’t going to get our nation anywhere. All we can do now is have faith in our President elect.
