Cafe Rio Is Better Than Chipotle, Try And Change My Mind

Nothing, and I mean nothing, beats their sweet pork.

Cafe Rio Is Better Than Chipotle, Try And Change My Mind

I have never been a huge fan of Chipotle, sue me. I think their food is mediocre and not even close to Mexican cuisine. The only thing they have going for them is the fajita veggies. I used to think this about Cafe Rio as well, but I was truly wrong. Why is this? Two words: sweet pork.

I know Cafe Rio is a little more expensive than Chipotle but you are paying for quality and the massive amounts of food you are getting. The quality of Cafe Rio's food is 10x the quality of any other Mexican fast-food chain (yes, this includes Chipotle). Their ingredients are fresh as well like Chipotle claims to be. Cafe Rio prides themselves on having ingredients delivered to them daily.

Cafe Rio also has enchiladas, tostadas, wet burritos, nachos, quesadillas, and dessert. Chipotle could never! Chipotle has basic menu items with basic ingredients. Cafe Rio has tons of different options and most importantly, sweet pork barbacoa. This is the best meat at Cafe Rio and maybe even on the planet. It is known to be addicting.

Let's talk about how they have dessert. This is a game changer in Mexican fast-food. They have a flan and a lime pie dish and they are both delicious. Never again will you have to walk to the frozen yogurt shop next door in order to fulfill your sweet tooth. You can order dessert in house at Cafe Rio that will truly taste good. They also have different fresh drinks, my favorite being the horchata.

Cafe Rio also has daily deals. While they may be more expensive, the daily deals truly set them apart. The best deal, in my opinion, is the Taco Tuesday special. Depending on the location, you can get a great deal on tacos. In the Phoenix area, it is $1.99 tacos. At that price, I might as well eat 5 tacos! There is a different deal every single day so be sure to check it out. You could eat at Cafe Rio every single day.

Also, their quality of tortillas does not even compare to Chipotle. What is Mexican food without a quality tortilla? The answer is, just regular food. Having good quality tortillas is a staple in Mexican cuisine. Cafe Rio's tortillas have a better flavor and are more fluffy than Chipotle's. Tortilla's matter, people. They also have great rice and beans and that is a staple to a good Mexican joint.

Another key reason by Cafe Rio is better is that it saves well for having lunch the next day! Chipotle's food can get weird and crunchy next day where Cafe Rio is the same, just needs to be heated up. They serve so much food that I always have to eat leftovers the next day so trust me, I am an expert.

Chipotle is for those with a childish, young pallet. Only real food guru's understand the beauty that is Cafe Rio and all it beholds.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
