I have a ton of super close friends, but the friendship I have with my brother will always be particularly special. We've hit it off since the beginning and have had so many great times together ever since. We are by each other's sides through everything, and we've gone on loads of adventures. I'm forever grateful for our friendship. Here are twenty reasons why my friendship with my brother means so much to me.
1. The older we get, the more we talk about important things, especially our relationships with God.
2. We’ve traveled to so many amazing places together, like New York, Hawaii, France, and Italy.
3. We always share with each other new music we’ve discovered, so our tastes in music are very similar!
4. My brother always makes me laugh while we watch horror movies so that I don’t get too scared.
5. We have countless inside jokes. Sometimes, we only have to look at each other before we burst out laughing.
6. We have both supported each other in all things since the beginning, and I can always count on him to be my biggest cheerleader.
7. We both bond over the same movies and TV shows.
8. He’s taught me a lot about how to develop a thick skin and to not care so much about what other people think, both by teaching and by example.
9. My brother may be a grump at times, but he has one of the biggest hearts out of anyone I know.
10. He’s a leader who always pushes others to try their hardest and always encourages people to become better.
11. He isn’t afraid to tackle a new area of expertise, whether it’s art, sports, or law.
12. He’s one of the funniest people I know and can make me laugh until my side hurts.
13. He would willingly defend anyone who he loves to the utmost of his ability. He has done this for me many times.
14. He loves Jesus Christ with all his heart.
15. He is constantly trying to improve himself and become a better person.
16. My brother’s determination inspires me, as he has put all his ability on the line in order to play for his high school varsity basketball team.
17. He is a good listener and comforts me when I am sad.
18. My sports knowledge has increased exponentially because of him.
19. I have always had a friend right across the hall from me.
20. There is no one else I would rather have walked through every stage of life with as a friend.
While it's not always easy growing up with a younger brother, it is definitely one of the biggest blessings of my life. Since we have been actively involved in each others' lives, we've grown our friendship in so many ways. We're always there for each other, and we plan to be there for each other for the rest of our lives. I can't imagine a bigger blessing in my life, and I am so thankful to God every day for the blessing that is my friendship with my brother.
