Throughout the many seasons of One Tree Hill, many people had mixed feelings about Brooke Davis. Throughout the earlier seasons she was seen as a villain, the mean girl, or even a bully, but in the later seasons she grew on you and became very wise as she grew older. She taught some very valuable lessons and spread a lot of wisdom, and we should take some of her advice and keep in mind some of her wisdom.

 1.  "If you had a friend you knew you’d never see again, what would you say? If you could do one last thing for someone you love, what would it be? Say it, do it, don’t wait. Nothing lasts forever."

Do not wait to do something or say something. Act while you can, because an opportunity may never present itself again. Do not hesitate, show the people you care about them while you can.

2. "We go days without having a meaningful conversation and I used to miss you so much when that happened but it never seemed like you missed me and I guess because of it, I stopped missing you."

Missing someone is very hard, but sometimes we have to move on. That can be easier said than done, but it will get better, it will get easier.

 3. " At the end of the day, you are who you are, and it's probably who you've always been."

You are important. You are perfect just the way you are. Do not try to change for anyone. Ever.

 4. “I guess love’s never simple.”

Love is complicated, but it is worth it. Love is worth fighting for. You will find it.

5. “Sometimes people play hard to get to make sure that the other person's feelings are real.”

People will play you and hurt you just to see if your feelings are real and it will hurt, but it is how you come back from the hurt that matters. It is better to have feelings than have none at all.

6. " Somebody please tell me you've got love figured out, because I got news for you; it's pretty darn messy right now. But I guess it has always been that way. Wanting to be loved, to find somebody that makes your heart ache in a good way ... feel understood."

media.giphy.com

We all want to find love, but it is a hard thing to find. All we want in life is to be loved and to give love in return.

7. “I stopped letting boys define me and I started believing in myself.”

media.giphy.com

Always be yourself. Do not let anyone define you. Be who you want to be and people will love you for who you are.

8. “People that are meant to be together always find their way in the end”

media.giphy.com

Love always finds a way

9. "And once you lose yourself, you have two choices: find the person you used to be... or lose that person completely."

media.giphy.com

We all get a little lost, but you have the choice of what you do, to find yourself, or rebuild to be the person you want to become

10. “People are gonna label you. It’s how you overcome those labels, that’s what matters.”

media.giphy.com

People always judge you, but you choose how you react

11. "There's a day when you realize that you're not just a survivor, you're a warrior. You're tougher than anything life throws your way."

media.giphy.com

You can get through anything. When life knocks your down, get back up and come back stronger.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
