It looks like the end of Brangelina is bringing out the worst in both Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

Let’s face it, being a celebrity might seem amazing from the outside looking in but it’s obvious that having the spotlight and constant attention is a recipe for disaster when it comes to privacy. This is a terrible mix especially for relationships since intimacy is lost with every tabloid rumor and candid photo taken.

Brangelina is a celebrity couple in particular that never had the taste of privacy they most likely longed for. After his split with Jennifer Aniston, Brad Pitt’s love life was on display for all to see and it has been ever since. While many despised Angelina Jolie after Pitt and Aniston split, it didn’t take long for Brangelina to rise to the top of the celebrity relationship throne. Together they've created a family and maintained their incredibly prolific careers while remaining in love all the while. It’s been a long reign but it seems that all good things must come to an end.

The most shocking aspect of the split is how dirty it’s getting. From cheating allegations, Jolie accusing Pitt of substance abuse and child abuse, it’s clear that this divorce isn’t going to be a smooth ride. While the cheating allegations have been debunked by Pitt’s co-star Marion Cotillard (who Pitt was accused of having an affair with) the rest of the accusations are still being investigated.

All that is out there right now are accusations by Jolie and statements from sources close to Pitt who claim that the filing for divorce was done without his knowledge and he was not ready to give up on the relationship.

In the end, I think of all of us just want Brad and Angelina to be happy. All we can hope for is that they can achieve that happiness without dragging each other (and subsequently their children) through the mud.
