Nowadays, everyone tries to tell you that you’re missing out on an essential part of college and life if you have a boyfriend or girlfriend in college. What exactly is that essential part? I am in a relationship in college and I can definitely say I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything. I don’t need hook ups and one night stands with strangers to grow up and figure out what I want and who I am. I’m not judging those who do it, so I don’t understand why those who do judge those in relationships.

If I’m happy with my choices and who I’m with, I don’t see why anybody feels the need to try and convince me otherwise. I am content with my life and I certainly don’t think that my college experience would be any different if I were single.

To the high school seniors who are anxious to leave their significant other and become long distance, I can tell you from personal experience it is not as bad as you think it's going to be. If you actually care for one another and your relationship isn’t primarily based on a physical attraction/aspect, you will be fine. As long as there is trust, loyalty, and communication there is no reason you can’t continue to pursue a relationship. If it's not what you want, you don’t have to, but if you’re listening to what other people are telling you, especially those who haven’t even been to college, you will be very unhappy.

I am in a healthy relationship where we both can go out and meet people and have a good time out with friends without having to worry about what the other person is doing. We are both taking classes and learning many new things in many different aspects of life as well as about ourselves as individuals. There is nothing he is holding me back from, and there’s nothing I’m holding him back from.

Don’t just assume because I’m in a relationship that I’m miserable and all I want to do is get drunk and hook up with random frat boys. Don’t just assume because I’m in a relationship, I can’t go out and have a good time with friends. College is what you make of it no matter what you like to do, and the right relationship will not hold you back from experiencing anything.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
