To the boy who called me fat,

Thank you, kind sir, for pointing out the obvious. My weight is something I’ve struggled with since I understood what the numbers on a scale meant. But you wouldn’t knew that, and there’s probably a lot of things you don’t know about me. So right now, I’m going to take the three minutes it would have taken you to get to know me, and tell you what else I am, besides fat.

I am smart.

I am kind.

I am hilarious.

I am loyal.

I am hard working.

I am dedicated to my job.

I am a friend.

I am a daughter.

I am a college graduate.

I am honest.

I am a Christian.

I am rare.

I am worthy.

But most importantly, I am enough.

So thank you, because of your two second insult, I am reminded of how grateful I am to that I look beyond the surface.
