Unlike the title, this novel is not the love story you would imagine, The Perfect Match, tells the story of Nina Frost, a district attorney in York County, Maine that deals with sexual abuse of children comes face to face with her worst nightmare when what she has been dealing with for years as a prosecutor now becomes reality. When Nina and Caleb Frost find out that their 5 year old Nathaniel Frost has been sexually abused by an unknown person it tears them apart and forces Nina to do things that she never imagined she would have done.

Where do I begin with the Perfect Match by Jodi Picoult… First of all, I have been following and reading Jodi Picoult’s books for years and have never been disappointed by any one of her books I have read. Out of all of her books that I have read, this one is one of my favorites. Jodi did an excellent job of keeping the reader infatuated and unable to put it down. There was not a time where I got bored with this book.

If you enjoy books about real life events, regarding mystery, love and the current legal system in the US, I highly suggest this book. I found it extremely interesting and a good look into what the legal system is really like nowadays, which I never have had the opportunity to get an inside scoop on. Jodi does a great job of keeping the reader interested until (literally) the very last page which I really look for in a book. Its not appealing to me to start a book and slowly read it over the course of weeks, I like to pick up a book and stay interested in it and not be able to put it down until it is done. So this was definitely the book for me, and I would 10/10 suggest this book if you are like me and are interested in books like this.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
