It takes one click to log into my Instagram and see a picture of a gorgeous girl. Long hair, flawless makeup, perfect body, an incredibly cute outfit. You know the works. It's easy to wonder "How does she have the time? I can hardly put on concealer before school."

I spend a lot of time watching makeup tutorials, hopelessly trying to recreate them. An hour later and some eyelash glue in my eye, I'm done. I scroll back and wonder "Why can't I look like her?? She makes it look so easy."

The media and our always changing society glorify the "perfect woman." We see her everywhere. Modeling the underwear we buy, on the cover of every magazine, even dominating our social feeds.

We start to feel the pressure, thinking beauty only amounts to one certain look.

It's time to realize that the presence of someone's beauty is not the absence of your own.

If you see a cute outfit, wear it! Don't be fooled into thinking only a certain body type can rock it.

If you want to spend an hour on your makeup, then blend and highlight all day long baby girl! If you feel more comfortable without it, wear your natural skin with pride.

If you feel your best with colorful hair and tattoos, then feel no shame! It's okay to be yourself.

Don't ever let your weight define you. You are wonderful, and the scale can not see how funny or creative you are. Never listen to those who say "Eat a cheeseburger, you could use it," when really you just have a fast metabolism. Ignore the comments like "Should you really be wearing that?" or "Maybe you should watch what you eat." On no occasion should you let someone steal your confidence.

Celebrate your body and everything it does for you. The freckles from memories of the sunshine. The soft edges of your stomach from the good food and laughs shared with the ones you love. The stretch marks from the child that grew to be the biggest part of your heart. The scars from your story of survival.

Short or tall, plus sized or skinny, red or yellow or black or white, you are perfect. You are one of a kind and unique. There is no one just like you, and that is beautiful in its self.

You are a queen! Never let anyone take your crown, because you reign all on your own.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
