7:00 AM - Time for breakfast! Wait.. there’s no milk. There’s also no eggs! Or cereal! You forgot to go grocery shopping yesterday. Dang. Oatmeal it is. Bleh. You are not a fan of oatmeal.

7:05 AM - *Checks social media *Remembers it’s Inauguration Day. Greaaat.

7:20 AM - You walk outside your apartment ready to face the day! However, as it turns out, the light shining through the kitchen window was not from the warm sun, but from a lamp post right outside the door. The heater was also accidentally left on all night, hence the warmth throughout your place. Uh oh, higher utilities. Dang! Also, it’s raining cats and dogs. Your umbrella is nowhere to be found. But hey, come on! Try and stay positive!

7:21 AM - By the time you reach your car, you are soaked from head to toe. Ugh! That’s okay. Blame it on Inauguration Day!

8:00 AM - Yay! Someone brought donuts to work! *opens box* They’re jelly-filled. You absolutely loathe jelly.

10:30 AM - Break time! And someone just made a fresh batch of coffee. How sweet.

10:45 AM - Customers are giving you compliments left and right! Way to go, you! Keep up the great work!

12:00 PM - Even the managers are starting to take notice of the excellent work being done by their favorite employee. Today’s turning out better than expected! Woo!

3:00 PM - Time to clock out. It is still raining terribly outside.

3:05 PM - You drop your phone in a puddle.

3:05:02 PM - Panic! That is until you realize it was in a Lifeproof case. Whew! You bend down to pick it up. Someone bumps into you and now both yourself and the phone take another dive into the puddle.

3:30 PM - You come home to your comfy bed.

5:00 PM - You text your friends for tonight’s plans. You feel like dancing!

6:03 PM - Another panic moment. You failed to remember your mother’s birthday tomorrow and have yet to buy a gift. Time to scrounge up a last minute homemade gift! Quick - what’s that website with all the cheesy DIY stuff..? Pinterest! Yes! *Starts scrolling through computer

6:15 PM - Power outage from the storm

6:16 PM - Cell phone battery is suddenly at 2%

6:16:15 PM - You text your friends one last time to confirm plans for the night. Send. Now you sit in silence. Joy.

8:30 PM - It's been two hours. Power is still off. Cell phone is still dead. The silence is deafening! You grab the keys and drive to your friend Charlie’s house.

9:00 PM - A note is attached to the door. It’s from Charlie! Apparently, they decided to get back with their ex and you are on your own tonight. Seriously? SERIOUSLY?! Now what?!

9:01 PM - You’re powerless, phoneless, and now friendless. That’s pretty much it, right? It can't get any worse. Oh man, it’s starting to rain pretty hard again. Get in the car! Where are your keys..? You turn your head toward the car ever so slowly with the most unfortunate realization…
